Beverlywood

Beverlywood offers the charms of a tree-lined neighborhood with local parks, restaurants, and shops. Beverlywood is an incorporated community established in the 1940s by the Walter H. Leimert Company (also of Leimert Park fame) and was designed as a high-end residential community.

Real Estate: Beverlywood real estate for sale often consists of single family residences on large lots. Because Beverlywood is an incorporated community and the developers placed covenants, conditions, and restrictions on all the land in the area making it similar to the rules of a condo association.

Community Life: Many residents enjoy the public parks in the area including Irving Schachter Park and Circle Park which is private for the residents of the area. The Beverlywood Bakery is the oldest bakery in Los Angeles, serving the community since 1946.

Education: Beverlywood is served by the Los Angeles Unified School District.Local schools include Canfield Avenue School, Castle Heights School, Cheviot Hills Continuation School, Palms School, and Hamilton High School.

Transportation: This area is easily accessed by the 10 Freeway. Public transportation including L.A. Metro buses and the Santa Monica Big Blue Bus are located nearby.

Local Attractions: This is mostly a residential community but it is located near the Museum of Tolerance. The Pico-Robertson area offers many terrific restaurants.
